History:  

Inception of the departrnent was in 1962.

Dr N M Tiwari was honoured as our first HOD. 

He served as HOD from 1967 to 1974. 

PG course started in the year 1972. 

In 2009, PG course got MCI recognition. 

In 2010, MCI recognized PhD course started.

 

Adverse Drug Reactions monitoring centre (AMC) under National Coordination Centre -

Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (NCC-PvPI) under Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Government of India.

AMC Cordinator: Dr Mangala Murthy.

  • Undertaken ICMR- STS projects.
  • Instrumental in promoting Rational drug Therapy through Guest lectures and workshop.
  • Arranged guest lecture on Pharmacovigilance.
  • One teacher is a Member of Board of Studies of MUHS, Nashik.
  • Consistent ranks in PG course conducted by MUHS Nashik University.
